I don't know about the rest of you, but I can't walk into Walmart without going into the sporting goods, mainly the fishing section. My wife and I took our 2 girls with us, I took my 6 year old with me, while my wife had my 10 year old with her, as I was looking at the various lures and other tackle options, my little one says " LOOK DADDY A PINK FISING POLE", it turned out to be a SHAKESPEARE "FIREBIRD". It's a pink 5'6" medium action with a 6 to 10 lb test baitcaster (not crazy about the baitcaster but what are you gonna do I can always buy new spincasters later), I took the pole to one of those price scanner things, it came up $11.96, so I asked my 6 year old if she wanted a NEW pole, ( yes they already go fishing with me and have their own ugly sticks ) naturelly she said yes. So whats a dad to do, they both got new poles. You have to love it when the kids take an interest in what their dad loves to do. Keep your lines tight and " TAKE A KID FISHING " |
