    Hey Rick,

We stopped at the Log Cabine store for a few supplies while we were there. The fishing was poor to say the least. We only kept 6 Northerns for diner because the rest were too small. I think next year we will stay north of the bridge somewhere because the fishing seemed better than in the south part of the lake and the long run up there is a killer when it's cold. Any suggestions where to stay in the north part of the lake?

    Thanks,

    Fred

Black Lake in may..great memories..lota of northerns from little bog bay. My moterizen canoe would not take in the large open parts of lake!! Drifting caught plenty of pike on R/W spoons!! On north end of lale is the outlet, downriver is a state park, you could stay there, below the rapids is said to be good wallete fishing!! Past Lost Village Road is Spile Bridge. Just down stream, with sight is Mabel's fishing camps, a good quiet place to stay.  Maybe i'll go again in 09. The northers & eyes head east in big lake onterio down the st lawence, rt turn up the oswe  into black lake. might as well have them swim under your boat before dispersing around the lake.  Find them concentrated sure can help. Maybe i'll see you there!!       Chuck                                                                      onnj
