Hello Fellow NAFC Members

 

I was wondering if anyone could provide me with some info. I have found myself with a few days off during the week next week (May 7-9) and wanted to do some surf fishing. Could anyone recommend a good beach to catch some fish? Species is less important than just having something tug the end of my line after a long winter.  Any info would be greatly appreciated. Isky, why go surf fishing on that weekend? Why not go to the NorthEast Meet up at Rogers Rock on Lake George? Come on up and have some fun. The meet is on the 9th, 10th and 11th. Some of the members will be up there on the 8th or arriving the then. If you don't have the weekend free... maybe if ya can just stop in and say hello on Friday. I am heading up on Thursday the 8th, myself.

We had mikey out for a 1/2 day Surf trip out of the backside of Moriches. we found peanut bunker and used them for live baits. we had fun catching teen sized stripers on light spinning tackle. we even had a bonus 25" Fluke inhale one of our baits. great morning!

P.s. We have surf and boat fishing openings this month and next if anyone is interested in joining us.
