i have been in the charter bussiness for the pass 35 years and still wait and look forward to the new year and change in species of fish. its jan. and the sea bass are doing very well along with some gray trout and bluefish on the reefs out 5 to 18 miles. also there are some large red drum just offshore in the 25 to 40 lb. class. the bluefin tuna are running larger the normal this winter and are in the 10 to 25 mile area. they are averageing in the 350 lb. range. you need patince to catch one of these big hogs, its like deer hunting you might get one soon or wait all day, but when you do its a 2 to 3 hour battle. we are located in holden beach north carolina and ready to go or give information if you are going on your own. on the sea hawk III we promote taking kids fishing but these bruts are for the strong adults.   capt: buster
