BigDog and myself were talking the other day that it would be cool to have regular meetings in different areas just to keep in touch and make planning the next meet a little easier. I hope to get some input from members around the state.
Secondly I want to extend an invitation to any NAFC member to participate in any meeting or meet that we may have. Yes even those Pittsburgh fans. LOL!
It has been exciting and learning session putting together this meet. The energy generated by everyone helping could light up New York. I am very pleased to say the meet is comming right along nicely and our numbers continue to increase which has already exceeded our expectations. As the chairman I want to thank everyone working hard to make this meet happen, looking at the numbers we are about to have one of the largest meets in the country and quite possibly the largest first meets ever.
Thanks again and I hope to see all of you at our meet May 3rd thru 6th at West Branch State Park.
I almost forgot I am a fulltime firefighter for the City of Canton and currently reside in Canal Fulton. |

We selected a Chairman, Co-Chairman and Treasurer/Secretary. We formed a committee for the upcoming club "MEET" in May, to oversee the food, the raffle/auction. and so on and so forth... <!--graemlin::rolleyes:-->. And I believe that we should start up this post, to get an idea of just exactly how many members we have here in Ohio that would like to take part in the Ohio Chapter. So this is not only a "welcome mat" to all the new guys, it is for everyone that want's to be a part of this Ohio Chapter. Once you tell us about yourselves, please send me a PM with your contact information. Name, Address, email address, phone/cell phone # and I will put you down in the Ohio Chapter register. So here we go, I'll start with the Chapter officers first, so arv1, "YOU'RE UP" Then myself next post, then aarhunt. After we get the first three here, then it's first come first serve. Thanks and let's get this filled up. Have a good one from BigDog... <!--graemlin::cool:--> |

It will also give you a chance to meet some of the other members. You can also come to the meeting on March 24th in Canal Fulton if you like. |

I am an hour away from any water that I can put my boat in, but I do get to fish a lot in the creeks in my area. The closest lake for me is Lake Loramie. I live about 4 hours away from the meet, but I am making the trip with a good friend of mine. I am married with a lovely young daughter named Elizabeth. I am very excited about the meet and can't wait to pick the brains of some of the seasoned anglers for any tips and tricks that I can add to my fishing arsenal. I am in the process of building my own 3/4 acre pond, so hopefully in a few years, I won't have to go far for some great fishing.
See everyone soon. Scott |
