A friend!  We meet six years ago.  He was 40single but looking, liked to go perching and spend time on the lake (Lake Erie). We ran in the same social group and had a lot in common. He owned a 18 foot sky boat which was not very good on the lake when it kicked up.   I was 34 married no children but my wife started going to college so I had a lot of time on my hands.  I like to fish for anything but mostly walleye, musky, and perch.  I love Ohio State Football he didn’t like football at all but always showed up at my house for the game.  I didn’t like going to the bars but I went to be his wig man.   We soon became fishing and boating friends then brothers.  We help each other get though some hard times.  When his father past he asked me to buy his father’s boat and I did 22 foot Searay 220 SRV and I fix it up now it is a nice boat and I still have it.  I put his father ashes in the lake off what was know my boat and marked it on the GPS.   I used that boat for four years.  We had some great times on that boat.  He finally meet a great women and he had less time but that was ok.  July 18 2008 we got into an argument and stayed angry at each other.  Sunday August 3, 2008 Tim past.  A skiing accident on my beloved lake.  August 7, 2008 I laid Tim to rest off of my boat with his father. His girl friend, mother, sister and two brothers were with me.  It was 75 sunny and calm the lake was flat like glass just the way he liked it. The rest of the season was lost for me I couldn’t go out on the lake without being sad and the boat brought me pain.  We decided to buy a new boat to try to get a new start and did.  A 2002 Scout Abaco 280 the boat I wanted.  Yesterday August 3, 2009 I took my wifeVCheryl, Judith (Tim’s girl friend), here daughter Heather, and Heathers boy friend Mike out to were Tim was laid to rest.  It was 75 partly cloudy winds out of the south at 20 knot waves 4’to 5’ five miles out and were ten miles out.  Thank you Tim for all you taught me about boating we were safe.  I thought a harness in and in ten minutes a FISH ON!  A walleye good size and marks all over.  So I gave my walleye to Tim and let it go.  I wish I could let are fight go.  Don’t ever take for granted!  Tim rest I piece!  You are missed.

tony, thank you for sharing. so many times we get wrapped up in petty and trivial, although at the time the may seem validiated, arguments. after reading your post i quickly called 3 of my "former" friends and apologized and asked for there forgiveness since i was the one that acted like a horse's backside
