    All, I was very happy to recieve a call from Amy on Monday to let me know that Arv recieved in the mail that our IRS 501c4 non profit designation has been APPROVED!

    I can tell you, this has been a long road filled with paperwork and more paperwork and it seemed as if we were not getting anywhere, but, a terrific IRS worker by the name of Paula Harrell really worked with me and we have talked and talked on the phone and after filling out more paperwork it looks like all this paper has led us to the promised land! I have not seen the final paperwork but I am anxious to do so as you can imagine. It really does not seem real to me yet until I see the paperwork!

    There is more work to be done because there are stipulations to maintaining the designation and this will be discussed at the meeting in August.

    I want to thank everyone in the chapter for their hardwork. All those that worked on the by laws, those of you that participated in meetings to appprove the by laws and to make amendments and all the other work that everyone did to help roll this organization onward. I can't even begin to put all the names down that are responsible as we all had a part in one way or another all I can say is look in the mirror and say thank you.

    To think this organization is not even 4 years old and from the humble beginings it has grown to this. I am very happy to be part of this organization and to put in the hours on its behalf I must say it is a labor of love!

    I am very proud of the Ohio Chapter of the North American Fishing Club Inc. and its membership! I look forward to so many more years of fellowship with you all.

    So tightlines to everyone you are the best!
