Hello everyone and thanks for taking the time to read my post....

The reason that I am posting is because I have recently relocated to this state (from Montana) and am having one heck of a time figuring out how to fish the waters around here.  Since I live just right outside of Waynesville, OH I fish the smith valley marsh (just two minutes from my house), the little Miami River and Caesar Creek State Park area for Bluegill, Bass and Catfish; however, after roughly a month of trying I have yet to catch a single fish (I have tried artificial worms and maggots from gulp; along with artificial frogs and different scent sprays -- For the catfish I have tried a wide range of items that I have picked up from Walmart)!!!

Now I am not the best fisherman but I have spent a large portion of my life fishing and usually can generate good results (most recent was pike and white fish while in Montana); however, I can not seem to figure out how to fish this area.

So with that said, is there anyone here who has fished the areas that I mentioned (I am still new to the area and do not know of to many other places right this moment) and perhaps would like to share some insite as to the best way to fish them? (While I would love to catch some of the bass jumping out of the marsh area what I would really love to catch are some nice catfish so any info on where the best place to do this at would be greatly appreciated!!!!).

Thanks for any help that you can provide as this lack of bites is really starting to get me down (not to mention the lack of hunting...compared to Montana....but that is another board).

BTW -- Since everyone always asks "Why the ..ll would you leave a great hunting / fishing state as Montana to come to Ohio"?  it was for a job that I could not pass up (Informational Computer Warefare related).

Ohio has their own website at nacfohiochapter.com. You will catch more people on there from your area than you will on here. We also have club meets and get togethers. Check it out.
