This is an on going list of fish attractors placed in CJ Brown Reservoir . It is a LONG list #1 N 39 58.792 W083 43.717 - 5 "C" trees in 8` close to silted over/ eroded RR right of way #2 N 39 58.506 W 083 43.826 - 10 "C" trees in 10-12` deep, 2 sets of 5 each in ditch rows either side of old RR right of way #3 N 39 58.419 W 083 43.939- 20 "C" trees, 10 as above, This set is close to the #2 No Wake Zone bouy and is very close to the N side of the embuttment for the RR bridge that crossed Buck Creek. It was a GOOD sm, cat and crappie spot. None of these 3 spots is fishable from shore. #4A-N 39 58.309 W83 44.727 -3 "C" trees , 2 supers 8-15` deep. Shore fishable. #4B N 39 58.300 W 83 44.731 2 brush blocks, 2 "C" trees, 1 super in 8-15` deep. Shore fishable, although will admit one hell of a hike in! #5A N39 58.076 W 83 44.880 2 brush blocks, 3 supers depth as above. Shore fishable. #5B N 39 58.054 W 83 44.889 - 3 "C" trees, 2 supers. Depth 8-15` Shore fishable. #6A N 39 57.990 W 83 44.931 2 "bb", 3 supers Shore fishable. #6B N 39 57.976 W 83 44.937- 5"bb"s Depth as above. Shore fishable. #7A N 39 57.792 W 83 44.895- 5 "C" trees in you guessed it. Shore fishable. #7B N 39 57.756 W 83 44.823- 5 "C" trees in 8-15` deep. Shore fishable. ***(if you are afraid of writer`s cramp or carpeltunnel? would understand but may I suggest you MAY want to jot down the next 2...just a suggestion) #8A N 39 57.685 W 83 44.845 to #8B N 39 57.663 W 83 44.830 a funny thing happened while we were on the lake...officially the are 7 "bb"s, 5 "C" trees and 3 supers listed as having slipped beneath the waves in these 2 spots, lost forever from the sight of men (unless you have fairly good sonar, or they drain the lake) but sometimes things are not what they seem. In front of Crabill House is a FISH ATTRACTOR GRAVEYARD! There are 30+ "bb"s, "C" trees, at least 10 are the supers some of the "C" trees were 12` tall and had to be double blocked to keep them down. And due to some superb boat handling by 5 Star, they lay in 6 to 20+` deep. Unfortunately, they are only partially shore fishable. Have already seen up to 4 boats on this spot at one time. It has a steep fall off into 35+` into a former limestone outcrop choked seasonal stream that flowwed into Buck Creek further down. I seriously wonder if this spot will produce anything? Hooked? More later, #9A- #9F and more later. Respectfully, The Friends of CJ Brown Reservoir. |

Ffisch, if may suggest, get a hand held WAAS capable unit WITH "continous wandering update". WAAS types are accurate to 30" just about ANYWHERE on Earth...a VERY useful tool... |
