I was just wondering if there was anyone near Lawton on here. I live in Tennessee but I visit my great uncle out there and get some great cat and smallmouth fishing in the all the ponds and streams.

Looking to bump this, I'll be at Ft. Sill at the end of this month for about a month. I orginally planned on trying to get some type of hunting trip put together but that is turning out to be a pain. So I figured I'd just bring the pole and lures. I know of areas on Post, but unsure about surrounding areas that can be easily fished with great results by foot.

As for Medicine Park, I looked up the site, is it only Trout, or are there Bass in those waters as well. I guess I could bring my fly rod, and see what I can do on that creek.

May have answered my own question, just noticed Lake Lawtonka is North of Medicine Park, think I'll look into that. Jumped the gun on this post.

Actually you got some real good choices for bank fishing. You have Elmer Thomas located on the backside of post which is real good for bass; Lawtonka, Medicine creek in Medicine park has some bass Hawg Bass Asassion has caught alot of 10 lbers out of it. You also have all the little areas in the refuge. Jed johnson is pretty good. Hope this helps.
