I was wondering if there is anyone in the Central Oregon area that would be interested in going out on some fishing adventures. I mostly fish on the high desert lakes and the upper Deschutes. Although I have gone fishing over a large section of the State of Oregon, lately I have been staying closer to home.  I work full time so most of my outings are on the weekends. Most of the time I go fishing in the spring, summer and fall since almost everything is froze over and closed here during the winter. I own 4 boats, well 3 boats and a project (22 foot 1940’s restoration) none of them are new (newest is a 1995 Alumacraft Dominator CS with a 50HP Nissan) or fancy but they are clean, reliable and are comfortable. They range from an 18 foot bass boat to a 28 foot cabin cruiser. I will admit things have been difficult lately so the only boat that is fully geared up and ready is my bass boat. The others are in need of a few repairs. I am not too bothered by the cost of going out and I have plenty of gear, but like many people my family does not want me to go alone anymore. If members of the club in the area are interested they can send a private message then I would be happy to share my contact information.

Must not be a lot of members in Central Oregon or they already have partners. Maybe it will help if I list what I fish for. In this area or within a few hours drive I fish for small mouth bass, crappie, catfish, brown trout, rainbow trout, kokanee, mackinaw trout, salmon, steelhead, sturgeon, walleye, and whatever else I can find.

What I should have said in my last post is I have plenty of fishing rods and all of the tackle needed too. I just need a smiling face to enjoy the ride. Fishing all alone is ok but when you start talking to yourself too much you get funny looks from other people. J

Once I figure the extent of the repairs on my 28 foot cruiser then I’ll head off shore for lingcod, rockcod, black bass, flounder, ocean salmon (when the season permits), halibut, and even yellow fin tuna. Plus fishing in the ocean you are never sure what you will catch.

I really need to drag my brother back here from the east coast.

    Good fishing,

    Bill

Mr. Bill, I'm not sure how to send you a pm. I looked several times, so will just post here. I just moved to Bend about 2 months ago and am dieing to go fishing. My problem is I have no clue where to go. I moved from Louisiana where I fished for bass mostly but what ever made its way to the end of my hook was good enough for me. Here is my email so hopefully we can talk more that way.   gjemes97@gmail.com

I am moving to the Portland area in a few days and need someone to hook up with to show me the ropes in Oregon. Never been salmon or sturgeon fishing so thats what I am really aiming for. Let me know if your ever in the area and maybe we can work out a day on the water.
