    FTM,
There is an area on the dam at safe harbor that has covered tables and bathroom facilities that could work as a picnic area if we went the cold cut sandwich route.

Here's a few ideas that I've been knocking around in this mostly empty skull of mine.

A lake Marburg meet, trying to pull both PA folks and Marland folks toward that. Marburg has fishing opportunities from shore (including a handicapp accesible pier/dock), camping facilites, picnic areas and a 20 HP limit. 7 total boat launches.

When I was fishing at Safe harbor this weekend, I also saw meet potiental. There are several options in the area from stream fishing (I assume there are panfish, trout and smallies available in the conestoga), open water fishing on the susquehanna for anyone that would want to put thier boat in the river, opportunities where the rivers meet (saw a big walleye come out of there Saturday) and of course, fishing from the dam itself (a personal favorite). The area appeared to have picnic facilities, but I didn't really invesitgate that.

I'm eyeing mid to late September.

Does anyone else have any ideas?

I've got a feeling we'd all like to do it again.

BJV, I would love to fish Cordous, but most people have a motor bigger than 20 hp., that would mean their stuck with their trolling motor. As for Pequea ( safe harbor ) it can get tricky with people with fiberglass and bigger boats especially if the river level is down. I'de meet up with ya at the dam for some catfishing if I had a vehicle. Muddy run lake is fairly close to Safe Harbor and has all the accomodations for a meet up. It is trolling motor only, but it isn't a big lake so thats no problem, and it is a good lake to fish.

i think it would be great to have another meet, only bad thing about sept. is ya never know what the water levels are gonna be, esp. in the river, and a lake with no restrictions would be nice too, but sept sounds real good and water should start coolin down, we'll have to seen how everyones schudule is and come up with a day

in fact, muddy run would be great for me since it's small enough to cover in my canoe. I spent every other weekend there camping as a kid, so it's got a special place in my heart.

Only one thing to do...Take a vote! Lets take a few weeks for everyone to give their input? Roll Eyes<!--graemlin::rolleyes:--> Do the same for date(s). So lets start with listing of ideas for location... Wink<!--graemlin:;)-->

I personally like Blue Marsh. It is a large lake with no restrictions and plenty of launch sites.

I vote for Blue Marsh on Sept 16th. My hubby will probably be away on retreat, so I can bribe the teenagers to watch the little ones. I'd need a seat on someone's boat, though. I can bring whatever and acouple of jugs of stress tea (Arizona brand)--it's my fav drink.

I'm game for whatever, but isn't the water level a major concern at Blue Marsh in September? I thought I heard that last week.
