I took my 5 year old daughter and 6 year old nephew there on Saturday.  The kids had a blast catching Sunnies and small Bass.  After an hour or so,they got tired of fishing and went off to explore a little.  I started casting a Mepps Aglia,and caught a pair of nice Rainbows in about 10 minutes.  Over all, I would say if you live in the Berks Co. area, and are looking for a neat getaway for the kids,  Give this spot a try.  We had a nice cook-out,and could also let the kids ride their bikes on the bike trail.
