I was at Speedwell Forge lake in Lititz on Sunday morning.  I figured I would catch a couple of sunnies for bait ffor Cats.  I was using my 5 year olds U.L. rod and 4lb line, with a 1" piece of crawler on a # 8 hook,no weight.  Felt a tiny tap,so I set the hook.  Kinda feels like I hooked a tree branch,so I go to break off and try again, when IT MOVES! and I mean it took off!  Drag was singing like crazy.  I assume it was a decent cat, because it didn't come close to the surface for the 3-4 minutes I fought it B4 it broke off.  The part I can't believe is that a decent size fish would hit a piece of bait so small.

Sorry you didn't get to see what it was. There are also some huge carp in there.

I know there are some huge largemouths in there. I have not caught any myself, but I have seen others pull them out. I watched a guy fish a ultra light and used a night crawler. Dragging it along the bottom. I saw him pull out at least 5 huge bass. I was fishing from shore and he was about 40 feet out in a small boat. He would fight them for a while. He offered me one, but I refused it. I don't eat them and I would be to tempted to claim I caught it. LOL
