I love the feel of a big Cat pulling on my line. If that is what you are into Lake Moultrie drift fishing might be for you. Palmetto State Big Cat Fever!!!! |

Thank You for the info. It is greatly appreciated. How big are those cats? I do love fishing for them. Most of the cat fishing(white and yellow belly Bullheads and channel cats) I do is in the spring in small lakes and ponds up here in Pa, because they are firm and fry up petty good. Later on in the season they become mushy and muddy tasting. Most of the ponds and lakes are shallow(like 25')Now in Ontario,Canada, up at my cottage on Black Lake, they are firm all the time and they are very tasty. Is there any decent size Panfish, like Crappie, Perch and Blue Gill available there or is there other lakes? ___

He's talking about big Cats. I fish Lake Marion, right beside Moultrie. Blue Cats 50lb. and bigger are caught regularly. I'm from WV but go down there a couple times a year to catfish exclusively. Panfish get big down that way too though. I've seen lots of people with coolers full of Crappie or Bluegill that would barely fit in a pan. |

My son has moved into our new house, which we are renting for now, and we will be moving down there after my wife is ok to travel. She just had open heart surgery. She had a triple by-pass. |

You will be in a cat fishing paradise in those SC lakes and rivers. Also, good pan & bass fishing. Santee Cooper has been one of the great striper lakes but has fallen off a little. There are some great guides and I have found them well worth their wages to get you started. Most of big fish are caught on cut bait or blue herring which are very popular. Keep us informed about your wife and your fishing. She is in our prayers. We are about three hours south of you in Coastal Georgia. Uncle Tom

| I built my own lure company as a young man--thus the name UncleTomsJigs. It grew so well I decided to give it up and go fishing with family, friends and especially grand children. I became disabled as a United Methodist Pastor IN 2002 and retired here in Coastal Georgia on a 10 acre lake where I continue to fish despite my disabilities. My wonderful wife and I enjoy fishing together. God has blessed us in so many ways and we pray the same for you. I am excited about having so many new friends all over this great country. |

I have not been out as of yet. Still settling in. I have talked to few people about fishing, but nothing to serious. I really hope to get out soon and test some of the waters. |

I'm in the upstate in Cherokee County. I'm been sticking close to home for months. My mom has cancer and my daughter is pregnant so I can't go far away right now. |
