    It's that time of year again to venture out on the ice. Has anyone gone out to try their luck with the first ice? I'm making my first trip this weekend, I've been hearing reports of 6 inches of ice on most lakes where I'm from in NE SD.

    You're lucky to have some ice.  We're still drifting dry flys here with temps at 59*.
