If there's anyone around the Clarksville, Springfield, Nashville, TN area I'm looking for someone that can show me first hand the techniques and flies to use for Fly fishing streams and lakes.
I'm no stranger to fishing having Bass and Salt Water fished my whole life, but I'm extremely new to fly fishing.
If you're going fly fishing and wouldn't mind me tagging along to learn I'd greatly appreciate it.
I've just started tying my own flies and have one good rod. I'll be more than happy to pitch in on the travel costs and stuff like that.
Within the next couple of weeks I'll be picking up a 14' John boat with a 25hp motor so soon I'll have it for use if need be.

Donnie sorry we don't live a little closer. I love fly fishing and that is the main way I catch catfish bait. The best advice I can give you is just to get out there and do it. I learned to fly fish when I was around six years old and now I'm in my forties. I have caught more fish on a fly rod than any other kind of gear no question. Have fun and keep fly fishing.

Oh yeah, I'm gonna be out there in it. I actually found a couple of nice unlisted hidden lakes within 20 miles of me that are beautiful and rarely fished because of the location and the ramps. I can get my Big John in and out with no problems. I'll start there.
