Hello to my fellow fishermen and ladies to the far south, I read an article not to long ago on Aligator gar fishing in Texas for one of the major publications out there and this really struck my interest. I belive it may have been the In-Fisherman. I was wondering if any one had any leads on this particular subject, in which to direct me to a reliable guide service, or knowledgeable source to thereby base my follow up in this field. I have always wanted to do a fly in to Canada, but have recently reconsidered my priorities to that of chasing one of these big old gators. Any reliable info would be appreciated.
