    Hello bankcatguy  where are you located in north Texas ????  I live near Cedar Creek Lake & like you I mainly fish from the bank ,but I do have a little bass buster that I use at Purtis Creek ....I'm notmuch of carfish person I go more for bass ,sandies& crappie but we are catching alot of cat in the lake ......

    Fotoman whatz your location????? ARE you north of Corsicana  are is you South of Corsicana ???? Is you going to the Meet next month  or is you like me just to plain busy to go ??????

    iam in dallas. never been to a meeting. but would like to go. i have spent the night at purtis in one of there camp grounds nice. but have only fished from the bank.

    I sure hope to be able to welcome you to one of our meets some time. Check out some of the related posts, one of which lready addresses upcoming meets and their locations. The goal here is that we cover as much of Texas with these events as possible. Also, check the South-Texas Chapter threat for more info on that and other events in the planning stages.

    fotoman .....I have a bass buster boat for 2 people if your interested in it their is a group that goes by the name of "BIG BASS LIL CRAFTS" & they are starting tournments on alot of the state parks lakes & other places also they will be having one of the tournments on lake Athens in March & in April they will be in Purtis Creek if you go to the website called TEXAS FISHING FORUM.COM  then go the thread of tube fishing they will give you a schedule of all the places they will be ....They will be in Dallas at White rock Lake later also they will be @ Kaufman City Lake , Cleburne State Park  those are the close ones listed near Dallas....I will not be able to make any of those tournments until after May cause i'm coach a little league soccer team & we start the season in March    it will be over sometime in May  we can get together then if interested 

     

      As for going to Purtis I go their in the afternoon on days I don't have practices If you want come on down on Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday let me know if your coming I have a park Pass That is good @ all the state parks & we can go in together  That way you want have to pay your 2 dollars ...When I go in the afternoon I don't take the buster I fish off the pier or walk the level & back in the coves we can get too

    Live on the west side of Ft. Worth.Fish Eagle Mt. ,Lake Worth alot.Have open seat on boat most of the time.Gambler .Fish mostly for Lg Mouth Bass

    Hey ,  I live in Ft. Worth and I am always going fishing usually by myself.  I also fish from the bank but have access to a boat.  I generally catch bigger fish from the bank unless running jugs.  Have family down at Tawakoni that stay up to date on where they are and what the feeding on.  Currently planning trip for this weekend to troll for hybrids and run jugs.  Does that sound like fun?

    it is a little hot now, but in the fall and spring if anyone knows where there are fish i will bring a boat and we can fish for whatever is biting. i am on lake livingston right now but it is hot and stormy most every afternoon right now.
