Yesterdays meeting was a great success, we were able to accomplish a lot, especially in regards to the By-Laws. I would like to thank both Terry's for opening their house for this meeting. I also like to thank the members and guests who attended the meeting and appreciate their input and ideas. Our next meeting will be at my place (Kaiman) on Saturday, January 12, 2008, at 02:00 p.m. (14:00 hours). My address is as follows: Kai Grinda 13508 Jarratt Road Atascosa, Texas 78002 LOOK for Ole Max (’79 Ford Pick-up) with the Texas flag in the driveway. My wife, Catherine (Cat), will be making chili and cornbread. If you’d like to bring something, Cat suggest you bring a small dessert, i.e. Mexican sweet bread or cookies OR anything else that may go with chili, i.e. delicious tamales or Spanish rice. Sorry James, I guess we will have to wait for your potato salad one more month LOL. We will finalize the By-laws at this meeting, so that we can sign off in February. Let James, Terry or me know if you have any questions or concerns. P.S.: I’ll maintain this post from now on to keep y’all posted with the South-Texas Chapter meetings and updates. Kai

I forgot to mention, the meetings will be on a monthly basis, most of the time the second Saturday of the month. Nonetheless, the dates, times, and locations will always be posted on here. Kai

Ohio Chapter Chairman Ohio Outlaw Happy Hookin Thanks Arvin, We are coming along just great, though the attendance is small as of right now. But we have a great group and a lot of fun when we are together at the monthly meetings. The By-Laws will be finalized soon, and I would be more then happy to send you a copy, just as an FYI. Some events for our chapter are in the planning stages and they will be posted on here. The next meeting is on January 12th, at my house. At that time we will finalize the By-Laws and get them ready to be signed off by the officers at the February meeting. We are also looking for sponsors, who are willing to donate fishing gear, such as rods and terminal tackle, for us to use at some upcoming chapter events. More on that to come soon. Y'all have a happy and safe new year.

I will be more then happy to share our by-laws with any one once we have signed them off. We are trying to get the word out that have the monthly chapter meetings and some events planned. It's the sort of "if you start it they will come" or so. LOL Kai

Thats exactly right it may take some time to get the word out but hang in there. Once you start doing some activities and show them it is real, it should pick up some steam. Ohio Chapter Chairman

The chily will be hot and ready at 02:00 p.m. for y'all to enjoy. If I get some rattlesnake I will use that meat rather then the beef Cat want's to use. LOL Looking forward to the meeting. The agenda is almost finished and I believe that the by-laws are ready as well. See y'all Saturday. Kai

It seems that the By-Laws are about ready to be signed off. We will discuss the changes and additions on saturday, but ,after talking to James, it seems that everybody is pretty much in agreement with what's been written up. See y'all Saturday. Let me know if anybody needs directions. I live somewhat rural, sort of outside civilization. LOL Kai

James, I received your message and I can't get in on the other BB either. I will print the Agendas, if that's okay. I guess all you'd need to print is about a dozen copies of the by-laws, fast draft. That'll do for that day. I appreciate your help. I've got an answer form a guy at Sportman's Wearhouse in reference to them sponsoring our "walking wounded" events. I will let you brief all of us on your findings on Saturday, and I will update y'all on what I have. All they'd need from us is what and how much we need, how many people and such. More on Saturday. We are well on the way with finding sponsors for our planned events of takink wounded soldiers fishing. Hopes are that we get Bass Pro Shops, Academy, or other outdoor shops to help us with rods and reels, as well as some terminal tackle. We would like the club to help us as well, but I don't count on it. Looking forward to Saturday. We have a lot on the agenda and my wife, Cat, is making a huge pot of chili for ever one, plus her corn bread. Yumm Kai

That's great news, James. It seems that we are getting somewhere. I can't wait to get some feedback from everybody on the sponsorship search you and I have conducted. Great job. Kai
