    FOR some reason the guys from texas are afraid to post. i retired 5 years ago, have been traveling and fishing since then. we sold our house in may and are now full time rving and fishing and hunting all around texas and lake texoma in oklahoma. i don't know why it is so hard to get people to post up where the fish are. i am on my way to port aransas this afternoon if i get everything gathered up and tomorrow if it is late when i am packed up.

    My name is Andrew and I am also in San Antonio. Me and the family just got our first boat a little over a month ago. I have been fishing a couple of times a Canyon Lake lately with little to no luck. I have been wanting to try Calaveras. My wife really likes Canyon Lake though. If anybody has any tips for Canyon, they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Hello every one. Name is Cliff. These days I fish mostly the surf along PINS. When you get down a ways there is not many people. I target Pompano mostly. No size or number limit. You just have to be able to cast about 150 yards. See you on the sand, Cliff

    Howdy all;

    I have been a lifetime member since June 2003, but haven't posted to this new to me forum yet. I have posted on the old one, but that was in another life, a long time ago! LOL

    I live in Tyler, having moved here a few months ago from Orange Texas. I am used to fishing Sabine Lake, the Sabine River, and the connecting waters for reds, cats, specs, and the occasional gar. Having moved to Tyler, I am going to have to relearn how to freshwater fish! LOL.

    Hope to meet some of you from time to time, and of course more often here online. Always like meeting folks who like to fish. Maybe we can all meet up one day for some coffee and swapping of lies...er...I mean, fishing experiences!

    Tight lines,

    Salty Dan Harriman
    Tyler
    If at first you don't succeed, maybe you shouldn't try sky diving!
