I know I've posted something like this before, but where are all the Texas members? I myself am guilty of not being here too frequently anymore, but there used to be a good number of us. Just wondering. Kai; Life Member |

I am in Tyler, Texas. I am a disabled veteran from the Vietnam era and would love to find a fishing buddy. At least now you know that there is one Texan reading your post. Have a good one.

I too welcome snowbear62 and rzapata to the club. Glad to see that there are more new members here. Also, I am glad to see some of the "old timers". We need to hook up somehow and drown some worms together soon. It's going to be a bit more difficult now since we don't have the annual meet anymore, but I think that we can work something out. Hello all;
I live in Tyler, and just re-found this forum. The bride and I love to fish, and we are quite the fishing buddies. We just moved here from Orange Texas, where we did a lot of inshore saltwater fishing. Now that we are in Tyler, we will be looking for new fishing spots that we can access from shore, as we don't have a boat...at last not at this time.
Glad to see there is a group here of just Texas members, where we can exchange fishing stories, and maybe meet up with from time to time.
Tight lines,
Dan Harriman Tyler

lake palestine is close to tyler and is full of nice catfish. i just fished it last weekend, first time i was ever there, and we caught 16 in a half day friday and over 20 on saturday. there are a lot of stumps on the upper end so go slow. all the fish were caught on rod and reel using cut shad. the guys fishing close to us caught a lot also using lewis kings select punch bait. REDNECK, and proud of it. |
