I joined here hoping to find people from this area. As most of you know, The James River in one of the best Smallmouth rivers in the eastern US. We also have great catfishing, Muskies, Crappie, and Trout. It's a great float fishing river here as it flows thru the Mountains and The Jefferson National Forest. My biggest cat so far is 30# but I see them much bigger while SCUBA diving in the James. A friend caught a 40# and a 44# one evening.
I'd like to hear from anyone else who fishes here. If you haven't tried it, you should. The scenery is fantastic!!!
