Hey guys, I just moved to the DC area recently, and I'm on the prowl for some places to get a line wet. My girlfriend has been begging me to take her catfishing, but I really have no idea where to go in this area.

Looking on Google Maps I found some places called Belmont Bay & Occoquan Bay that don't look too bad, and another place by a Country Club off the GW Parkway in Alexandria/New Alexandria. Aside from that, I'm pretty dry for ideas. The reason I'm asking is because we're going to be shore fishing; aside from the places I mentioned I couldn't really find anyplace that looked like you could just walk to from your car and cast a line.

    Anyone have any ideas?
