Fredericksburg area Rappahannock river launching access for your boat
The city docks there are two ramps. It can get crowded there on weekends.
Little fall boat ramp which is located off of Rt 3 in Stafford, it’s a few miles down river. There is one ramp and less it is crowded. I also find it easier to back a boat trailer
there than the city docks.
4-winds golf course in Caroline County, there is a fee, I’m not sure how much
Hopyard landing was built a few years ago. It’s a about
a 20 minute drive from Fredericksburg.
I would recommend this ramp if you are planning on going farther down river to
Hicks landing in Caroline County, I think there is a $10 fee to use.
I would not recommend taking your bass boat any farther up
river than the Rail road bridge. If it
is high tide you could make up to the RT 1 Bridge which is the fall line, there
is too many rocks and there is a strong current beyond that point. If the tide is low you might have trouble
getting past the rail road bridge, it is very shallow there.
