    I make it to CC every once in a while when we visit family in Roanoke. We're in Chester, VA @ 3 hrs away. I love CC but can't get on smallies there. I'd love to pick your brains about them.

    There arent many smallies in Carvins Cove...if you fish the island in front of the dam, i've caught the only two smallies I ever caught in the cove. But its full of Largemouth. Try using those berkley hollow belly minnows...I just started using a BBZ shad...seems to be working pretty good so far.

    I was lucky enough to meet up with a friend at Carvins Cove this summer. I really enjoyed the day. It is a shame it is three hours from where I live, otherwise I would be there
