Are there any Walleye Fishermen in eastern washington that read this site? Not much activity going on here! I went to Umatilla, OR on 3/3/06 and tired to catch one or some. Fished up by the dam (McNary) and had a tough time jigging due to the wind and choppy water. Went down to Irrigon and tried by the launch but with same results - not bites - no fish. Eight other boats were on the water and I did not see anyone catch a fish. Damn these Walleye are hard to catch! Used blade baits, jigs and pulled some double-whammys but no results. Water temperature was 40.4 degrees and water was really low. The wind followed me to Irrigon and I left around 11:30 with nothing but fond memories of another great day out on the water.
