The growing season up here is a lot shorter than in texas and to catch a 6lb bass, large or smallmouth is somthing to cherish especially on the west coast. What a lot of anglers dont realize is that when you land a 4lb and up size bass is how many years it takes that bass to grow.A 3to4 lb smallmouth out of lk.Wa. is around 8 to 9 years old(being conservative). If you want to take some home to eat please practice selective harvest and only take some of the small ones home and let the breeders go,but dont forget the camera! It will pay off in the long run, especially for our kids!!
