We are planning a vacation to the Spokane area, probably staying at Loon Lake's Inn at White Pine B&B. Was wondering where we could go for some fly fishing. We'll probably do some stream and lake (bait cast/spin) during the trip. Also looking for a guide for a day trip and any other info/advice anyone has to offer. I never turn down free advice!
    Thanks,

If you go further north there is waitts lk that you can fly fish on, also there is the little spokane river that is open year round for fishing, there are some real nice looking and healthy rainbows in the river. Good luck

To the south of Spokane is a little lake called Amber Lk. It is select gear only and has nice sized cutthroat. West Silver Lake also is fly-only, and is managed as a trophy fishery. The Clark Fork in Montana and Idaho, the St. Joe, and the Coeur d'Alene Rivers are all legendary fly fishing waters. Have fun.
