Hello,
I am looking for some people that live in the Tacoma area that love to fish. I dont have very many friends that share my hobby with me. Places I go are Lake Spanaway, American Lake, Waterfront area, and when the season is in for Salmon I go to the Puyuallup River. Dont have a boat yet but i am still looking. If you are in the same boat I am in then shoot me an email swatblackop@gmail.com or leave a reply message here...
Thanks

Martiemar, Welcome to the 'Club'! And I mean that both literally and figuratively!! I live in Port Orchard and often don't have anyone available to go fishing with me. I, like you, will go at the drop of a hat- as long as the weather is promising. Heck, sometimes I don't even wait for that! I've been thinking about American Lake since it's open year 'round but haven't made it there yet. Maybe we can hit it sometime before/after the season opens? Send me a PM and we'll see what we might be able to work out. I do have a boat, a 16' Crestliner. Not the greatest or prettiest but it floats and doesn't leak! Prober

Hey all... Just a bit off topic. I have this bait-caster rod that i love but something bad happened to it and i need to have it fixed. when i was out fishing a few weeks ago my son stumbled across it jamming a hook into my finger and breaking one of the eyes loose. Is there any way i can fix that with some epoxy or do i take it in to the local Sport-Co and have them do it? I want to use it this weekend... Any suggestions?

Have you tried using your son for bait?? I'm REALLY not serious- I hope no one thinks so... See you tomorrow! Prober |

Could you be more specific? Was it the tip or???. They have several emergency repair kits on the market. Sport Co has them. I do not know how much Sport Co. would charge for repairs if you feel uncomfortable doing it yourself.

I fixed it...I used some Epoxy that I had, looks like new. I took it out to Spanaway lake today and almost landed a Huge Trout then my line snapped. I been to Bills Boat House before, I don't go there that often I sometimes go to the old boat launch on the Lakewood side. They just stocked the lake with some Browns at Spanaway so i took the Rooster Tail out and caught a few. Let them go of course. It was a fun day

Your welcome Al. I also heard from my mom that they had stocked American Lake 2 days ago from today. don't know what kind of fish. I may go out to American today if the weather holds up. You will catch me at the boat/beach area in Tillicum.

Hello to all. I just moved back to the area after moving away as a child. I am a bass fisherman by default as that was the fish to chase in Louisiana, where I have lived for the past 11 years. I would love to be able to get back into trout fishing some but more so salmon. I don't a boat but am willing to help with expenses, launch fees, gas, food, bait, what ever. My normal fishing partner, he has the boat, will be layed up the rest of the year, so I am hoping to meet some new friends that share this wonderful hobby. I don't know how much fishing there is to be done during the winter but a little rain never hurt anyone right? |
