Well, went out on American Lake (Tacoma area) with Martimar today. I guess about all I have to say is, if anyone wants to go fishing, I'm game to go if I don't already have commitments. However, if they want to go catching they'd probably be better off finding a different partner! We didn't even get a bite in about four hours on the lake. It was still a pretty enjoyable day, the only thing besides not catching anything to complain about was the wind. It was pretty non-cooperative. I did enjoy the company and got to meet his son- a pretty nice young boy. I think he was getting a bit tired/bored by the end of the day though. What can you expect from a four year old?
I don't understand what we did wrong though. I made sure I held my tongue just right and I didn't even bring a banana with me!!
Maybe we'll do better next time...

    Pro ber,

Catching fish is soooo over reated.  It's all about the quality time with family and friends.  Who needs fish anyway?  You just have to clean them when you get home on top of cleaning the boat, etc.  You can go to the fish market and pick up a fresh caught fish (a week ago) for much less money.  And they taste even better.

I agree with Dave, too many anglers confuse fishing with catching, although a bit of activity  from time to time is nice, especially with the younger ones. Tom
