    Hey all.....just had an idea......i'm not sure exactly how widespread the northern snakhead is throughout virginia.........but whay if we wll had a snakehead tournament?? we wouldn't have to get together, just fish for them in you area if they are there......or if not go find them.........weigh it, measure it, and take a picture........this would not be a catch and release tournament..... the vdgif wants them removed from our waters........and from what i'm told they are pretty tasty anyway.......let me know what you think....talk to you later

    Im not sure, but i think i just seen a articel in NC that they have them down there now.  Sounds like to me we are having a problem.  I agree with your tournament Idea.

    Keep some fish in the cooler. Never know when u will need a bite to eat.

    well lets get started others can join as they learn about it........we'll figure out the prizes and what not later.......we could have it run all year and see who catches the most, biggest, etc..........if you can get near douge creek or ft belvoir there are a lot around here.......good luck

    lemme know how you do........my buddy and i were just fishing on belvoir in dogue creek the other day and got a bunch of blue and channel cats.......one was pushing 35 lbs.....check out the ficture in the VA fishing report section....the pic is USAFfisherman's avatar
