News: Just so theres no misunderstandings! While a Non-Resident 1 Day Fishing Lisc. is in fact $3.00 you must also have a Conservation/Law Enforcement Stamp. Lite Food and Or beverages. NO Booze Or Drugs. Cag Members are Incouraged to Bring Fodd and drink. There are Resturants in the area , Shoney's , Golden Coral , Mc Donalds For folks who are in search of food. There are three Hotel's In the area , Econo Lodge , Holiday Inn Mountaineer Inn. All cag Members are Incouraged to join us at the Unroofed Gazebo at 5pm for a group Photo , and Fellowship. Please remeber This is A Public Event also , Eventhough it is rented to us , there will be on lookers and guest , and some children there also. I am hoping to have another derby lined up for this event also , this will be up to the WVDNR and there timely permet's. There will be a rigging demonstration for hair rigs , the woo tang rig and other poupular rigging methods. Different Baits and such will also be on display. This Park at the last fish-in , gave up 108.50# of total carp , So there is a nice chance for anglers to catch fish. Come And Join Us For a good ole Fasion Time!

For folks who are coming from out of state , there are 7 hotels , and 11 Places to eat on this side of town and three supermarkets. As you can see by the small map , this section of the river holds great carp fishing.

O.K. Yall , This derby is gonna be different! There will be only one winner! This derby will be decided by who ever catches the most carp in TOTAL WEIGHT! Derby brakedown goes as follows:



Angler A: 5 fish 38#

Angler B: 9 fish 46#

Angler C: 3 fish 52#


Angler C Wins the derby.

I repeat , The Total Weight Wins the derby , Not The Biggest fish ( Unless it out weighs all contestant's total Catches! ) This will be a winner takes all derby! Folks interested , Can Sign up for the derby at the fish in , Please see me at the fish-in.

All Catches have to be certified by the state chair or an officer at this event. Bring Your Catches to The Main Marked Gazebo , All Fish Must Be Caught On ROD And REEL!

Due too Unforseen circumstances , two of our sponcors had to pull out. They are sadly missed , but We'll try them next time.



Derby Rules:

1) Any And All Carp Caught During the derby , must be weighed , in a timely fasion , Photographed , and released into the water.

2) Entriesfrom all anglers , must be verified with either the state chair , or one of the west virginia CAG officers.

3) NO ILLEGAL METHODS OF FISHING! Anyone caught doing so , will be asked to leave , thrown out of the derby/fish-in , and reported to the proper athorities.

4) Anyone who is caught cheating , or suspected of cheating , will be asked to leave and or removed by the police.

5) NO DRUGS OR ALCOHOL! They are not permitted in the park at anytime!

Derby Starts at 7 am till dark , NO EXCEPTIONS! All Fish Must be reported by this time or they will not be accepted!
