Anyone going to Canada or Mexico by Air or Ship needs a passport now. You can still travel by land. Starting in January you will need a passport even if traveling by land. It can take upto 10 weeks to get one so plan ahead. It is possible to get a expidited passport for an additional $60.00. 6-8 weeks. Express Mail Expedited add another $32.50 3-4 weeks. Requirments include a certified copy of your birth certificate(from the county you were born in) if yours has your cute little baby footprints on it it will not work. It Must have the seal from the county. A photocopy of a certified copy also does not work it must have the seal. Passport photos and drivers license also required. If you are taking the kids Mother and Fathers I. D. willbe used. Hope this helps.
