I thought this would be interestion to see what our most memerable fish from Wisconsin waters were.  Mine would be my first ever muskie.  I caught her last October on Lac Vieux Desert, near Land o' Lakes.  She was onlt 34" long but she gave one heck of a bite on my left thumb.  I put my thumb in a place it should not have been and paid for it.  I bled like a pig and have a nice scar to remember her.  People say that stupid should hurt, that time it did.     Jason

Out icin back in 72, with tipups. Saw my dad reach down a hole after a pike of which I was fightin on his tipup,( we were in a ice derby, I had no flags). Pulled the fish in with hand down mouth. Won the derby for big fish and won 300. Spent 250 of it at the doc for stitches. What a deal that was.

Nice Fuzzy.   Why is it that fishing & stitches seem to go together like cookies & milk?  Another one of favorite memeries was watching my daughter catch a nice big (17lbs) carp in June.   But what sticks in my head the most was bullhead fishing with a cane pole when I was 8 or 9  and having a big fish take the pole off of the riverbank before I could grab it  and watching it float and down the river while the fish swam past.     Jason

My 45" musky that I caught at night on a spinnerbait fishing for bass. Had a mini-mag for a light, and a small net, but we got er done. That was on the Rhinelander flowage.

spring of 2007 I caught a Lake Sturgeon below the Dairyland Flowage by Ladysmith. The fish was about 60 inches and I caught it on a jig and 8 LB test while Walleye fishing. Brought it to the bank 3 times before I broke it off. No way to land it by myself.

I would love to catch a sturgeon on hook and line.  I'm not much for spearing but I don't generally keep the fish that i catch anyway.

I was out on Winnebago (off of Faro Springs Rd) on the spearing opener, looking for something to hit a tipup, We had 7 flags but not one fish on the ice.  There was a lot of ice (30" or more) and a ton of people.   We waited unit spearing was over for the day to drill our holes, so we did not bother the spearers.   It was a good time.    Jason

    daveset2000,

Thank you.      How did you get that to work?   I tried to do it the same way I do it on Taxinet, but I could not get it to work.     Thanks again,          Jason

1985, was 22 years old and had been musky fishing with Dad for 11 years, caught two legal muskies the same afternoon, 10 minutes apart.  Had caught probably 30 musky prior to that but none legal.  Now I'm 46 and still Musky fish with the old man, the only difference is we actually fish for bass and catch musky as a bonus.....lol.
