Hi All,

We are adding this thread to the board to incorporate all your suggestions or feedback you may have for the new forums.  We will review your comments/suggestions and add it to this list, then review what can be done to accommodate them.  The posts will not appear, as we want to keep this thread to a manageable size, so we will add your suggestion and your name if you wish to this list and take it from there:

Thanks everyone!

Well, looks like after jumping through far too many e-hoops I'm finally able to post.  Here are my suggestions for the new site/forum.

1/ Send an email to ALL members with specific steps to follow (links included) in order to make the transition from old to new forum.

2/ Take out the "Post Anonymous" feature at the top of the Post Reply window.  It's far too easy to take pot shots at other members when you can do it anonymously.

3/ The change was needed and looks great.  You just need to work out some bugs as fas as I can tell.

Chad

It seems to be working better every day. There seem to be more available functions when posting, much like MS Word. I like the look and I am anxious to see the chat room when you put it in.

When I updated my info in the new site, I accidentally changed my username and password.  I corrected the password but the username is stuck in its new form.  How can I correct it?

Actually...All I have to say is that you should not have changed the format to the Forum as much as you did.  Evidently the person that you have doing your Websites does not take into consideration that "MOST" of the members are in the 50 years old++++ Range .  Please reconsider changing the Forum back to the old format.  The Home page is great but it is hard for some of us including myself to understand just how to post or even navigate on the new forum site.  Sometimes change is good.  However in this case you really fouled things up.  Get a new softwear writer. Evidently the one you have does not understand your members needs.  He/she needs to find a new job.  Because if this site is better then I'm outta here!!!!!!! Sorry for being so straight forward....Paul Johnson, Life Member since 1999.....

After checking it all out, "I like it".  It will take a little getting use to, but it should all work out.  One thing I would like to see is more items listed in the store. I would really like to get some more Life Member patches and decals. I am also very interested in buying a Life Member jacket and seeing about a LM ring. You all did a great job as far as I'm concerned. Thank you.

will we be able to do a "group" PM?  Or just to single individuals?

How do I post pictures?  To my message postings or my avitar...

This isn't better, just different. You should have tested it first while the old program was still up. I can't do the click and win, or prise giveaways. The system keeps logging me out when I click the icon. Your Web guys need a whack between the eyes for putting something out that is not ready. If this site were a car you would loose tons of money on the recalls. Where is the chat? Where is the PM? Again, whack between the eyes with a big stick for not finishing before fielding.

In the Pennsylvania thread, "weekend report" there are no current postings, just those from 2005.  Is this the way it will stay or am I jumping the gun here?

Well so far not bad except I could not log in with my old username.

I had to log in as fish_for_all instead of my recognized fish_4_all. Anything that can be done about htis?

If you ever do this again it would be a good idea to get a couple of the people off the board that have been around awhile to help. Then the important stuff would be saved, and where it could be found, and the garbage could be removed. Regulars here, someone who has a clue.

I find it harder to browse through the topics. Maybe you could shade every other row...sort of like a bankers ledger. When you enter a category, the text for the topics is very small. Either enlarge it of make it bold...along with shading every other row.

you can`t even post a picture on here and goof off. If it ain`t fun no one will be here. You may have 15,000 registered here but who is going to use it. This place sucks.

Can't seem to get into the Miscellaneous Thread.  All we seem to get is an error message.  You can only get to the last post...Paul

It's turkey day and I'm at my brothers. I logged into the site and went to the forums. Most are showing an exception and won't navigate. I think it is time you hire some professional web developers to fix this. Those High School kids just are not cutting it at this level. Here are the key words- DEVELOP and TEST, DEVELOP and TEST. Only field when 90% or better works 100% of the time.

Still can't log in to the contests. When I click the link to the page it tells me to log in again. I login and then it does it all over again.

1. Fix the "Search" feature. It flat out doesn't work.

2. Fix the Topics that were transferred over from the "Old" BB that were "chopped off". A prime example of this is the "River Fishing - A Slightly Different World" topic we had im Member's Tip. If nothing else, give several of us access to the "Old BB" so that we can copy the Topic Threads and repaste them.

3. Have a "group PM" option.

4. Several folks are asking about a "Chat Room".

5. Fix the "Notifications" feature. It hasn't been enabled.

And finally....make a couple of posts to show that you folks actually give a crap about our concerns. At this point, most everything you have done appears self-centered to a majority of people.

If you need help, email me at davesett2000@yahoo.com  I do software QA for a living.
