i have a 90 s10 blazer w/ 4.3 v-tec motor and auto trans. i have a class 3 hitch on the back but was wondering if the truck could handle a 3,000 lb trailer or should i not try this.

i will be towing on the highway for about 550 miles and don't want to ruin my truck or be a danger to my passangers or others around me.

are there any upgrades that should be done to the truck before doing this or am i o.k.
