I imagine that they are still working on the back-end, to get the files etc transfered over. and with over 150,000 members (though not near all active) It may take a short while to get everything like old posts and stuff transferred. this is merely my thought, and may not be right. |

It is bull that people like us had our accounts reset. They need to fix this. Also, I had an ongoing topic about my sobriety going for over 225 days to update my friends and now the order of the posts got screwed up and someone who posted on my topic after I started it has their name as the creator because their post got put before mine.

Hi Guys, Yes, these things do suck.
The post counts will be corrected and masaitis, could you tell me where the discussion you're talking about is and I'll submit a request to get it fixed. You can email me directly at wthomsen@namginc.com. Thanks for your patience.

Good job so far , that other site was a P.O.S. that we all put up with for a lot of years and wanted some thing better. Now we have it thanks. Now to what I don't like on this new site and hope you can fix. 1. I can't find a way to get too my old PMs. I have some address in there I will need soon to mail out the tie to the next person inline for it. 2. How do we edit a post if we make a mistake or just plain want to change what we put up. Thanks for any help on this.................[script removed] |

Hey Erabbit, I'll ask about the old PM's. As you've noticed the PM "module" isn't plugged in yet. The new system has different components to plug by and just adding one piece at a time during the transition makes it easier to troubleshoot what's causing bugs. We know it's very important (personally communicating with people in a forum? Go figure) and it's in the priority list. As for the post editing: There's a time limit of how long a post can be edited by it's author. I believe it's 10-15 minutes. The idea is that members can correct a post but not be able to go back and change what they write once other people have responded to it or to get them out of hot water. Nobody here would ever do that but it can be an issue sometimes with people regretting something they wrote that incites a flame war. If it's that bad you can just remove the post altogether instead of candy coating comments later. |

Erabbit,
The posts you make should be editable for 30 minutes after they are posted.

But noway for me to delete my old post if I wanted too.
I think the being able to edit a post should alway be there no matter. If the thread gets into a flame war so to speak and the person that is out of line edits there post before the club has to that's great. Some times I think it's just better to let thing run the course. As long as there are not any moderators (as we were told there would be on the last site) I think it worked out fine. If someone is so out of hand that someone wants banned from the site just use the "qoute" and then report them.........................that's the way I feel about it but what ever the majority wants is fine by me becuase this is a tough call either way. |

Hi Eric, I'll check in to this other stuff but wanted to ask about your original question with page counts. Has that been sorted out? I can't tell if you've done a couple hundred posts in the last few weeks or not. Thank You sir. |

If the edit button was there all the time I would be able to put the pics back into the info threads I did in the old system...This way they are lost!
BTW, this post worked "normally"! |

Aww wes No need to get all upitty, before your time with the NAFC most of us were in to the thousands of post, aint that what the forum is about?
no, not all my post are back but honestly post count is not the main concern, its the rest of the forum.
folks on the NAFC BB get tired of all the bugs, and trust me if somthing aint working YOUR gunna hear about it!
the forum has bugs when you use IE, very little when you use fire fox, Google chrome the smilies don't work and a few others only work with this forum software.
I hate to say it, but the NAFC would be better off using IPB of Vb forum Scripts/Software then the last three that they have choosen.
but other then that I will keep my mouth shut and take it like a big boy and Start over again.
Just one more thing though, if you change it folks round here will let you know if its working right or not, and just for the record, were not ad dumb as folks think many of us are web designers, Techs and so forth. |

Well I should have know better this is not the first time I trusted the club to help with a problem they caused on the BB only to be let down. Just shows what they think about the members this tie has been going for a number of BB now and for all they care the next person inline can......................... ......... ........ ...............I got a go before I say what I feel.
