The address I have been using since I've been coming here is " http://fishingclub.com/main/default.aspx "

Hasn't worked for days, if you click on the link you'll see what I've been getting. Can't seem to get it to save my avitar and signature either.

Yeah, this sucks. I liked the last one much better.

seams like the only way to do it is to hit edit , then drag it into post that seams  kinda odd.

IDW: The picture thing is a bit strange but not all that hard. There is a topic in 'Computers and Technology' that explains it pretty well. Tom

Tom, great observation!  But you won't believe what happened.  After, six months I got my life membership card.  I can't tell you how excited I was--no more gripes!  Maybe that long lost rod will show up soon.  I sure hope I don't break it like some of those St. Croix, Fenwicks, Bass Pro, Wal Mart, Dick's or Cabela's rods standing in the barrel in the garage.  Last year I noticed there were a few that I made myself in that barrel.  If you step on them or catch them in the tailgate they don't hold up long but being determined to clean out the garage and committing not to throw those vintage editions away I discovered they make great tomato stakes(tomato stakes with a life time guarantee) and man was I glad my Dad never thought what great items of discipline they would make--Thank God for peach tree switches.  Good luck and good Fishing!  What do you say when your precious little grand daughter breaks one?  I know what you do not say when your wife breaks one.  She acted just the same when I bought her a new yellow wheel burrow for her birthday.  As Tony says:  Have a grreeeaaaaatttt day. Uncle Tom   I watched that TV special and I thought what a great opportunity for a NAFC tournament!!!!!!!
I built my own lure company as a young man--thus the name UncleTomsJigs. It grew so well I decided to give it up and go fishing with family, friends and especially grand children. I became disabled as a United Methodist Pastor IN 2002 and retired here in Coastal Georgia on a 10 acre lake where I continue to fish despite my disabilities. My wonderful wife and I enjoy fishing together. God has blessed us in so many ways and we pray the same for you. I am excited about having so many new friends all over this great country.

Has anyone else noticed that if you click on Forums a drop down box for Private Message appears? I have clicked on it and it opens but it is SLOW. Tried to send a PM and gave up because of it's slowness. Maybe they are still working on it.?????

Just tried it and it worked great. It loaded quickly. You may need to create a signature for yourself however.

Hey Doc, the entire site has been slow for weeks!  I was able to send a PM this morning.  I just don't know how to tell if I received a response other than going into the PM window again!

It does not seem as simple as before. Whats the best way to find a member that you want to send a PM to?

Brian, I had to go to a post, write down the "club handle" that the individual used, go to the PM section and type it in.

Ed, I sent you a return (answered) PM and an email...

I am still having problems with the "Add Reply" button! This is a "Quick Reply"...

There is going to have to be a better way to do PMs...Perhaps they're not finifhed yet...

yep i just noticed it tonite.......wish i had earlier......it is a bit different from what we are use to but it does work. it's been in use over at the hunting clubs forum for a little more than a month now.

not sure but the pms are sent to that persons email address....so watch it when you send a pm to someone that you don't want to have your email address. because it does send it along with the pm. at least thats how it works on the hunting clubs site.

As far as a confirmation, I don't remember there being one before the change, you just had to trust that it went! I have never been sent a pm that had a member's email address unless it was put in the body of the message, they come to me with the club as the originator. Tom

You are givin the option for email notification.  I have it checked but it's not working yet...

I need the info from the old PM system!  How about that boys!!!!!!!!!!  I mean after all you decided to change over (again) without prior notification!!!!!!!!!!!!

tom, for the 1st. month on the hunting clubs site it had that persons email address as if they sent you an email from their email address when they used the sites pm. i haven't sent an email for a couple weeks. but i found out that a friend up in mi. sent me a pm the other day and it didn't come throu to me from him. but we chat all the time by email any ways.

so since i have not sent or recieved any pm's from the fishing club i have no idea about how its reading.
