Of course, most lakes have been open all year, and there are some waters that opened at the end of April, but our local rivers and streams will open on Saturday.  It's been a long, long, long off-season.  I was on the beach a week ago catching some nice retail surf perch, one of which went over 4 lbs, and still I yearned to be away from civilization, up some 10 foot wide stream, looking for cutts.    2 1/2 days. 

Hey let us know how you do. here in utah we have year round season but with some streams closed for the cutt spawning season.
