    man what great News, this record has been one of those records our state has had on the shelf for a long time. The original Record was split, the longest held perch record was caught by Charles Mayle back in 1985 and was 14.5 inches in length and 1.83 lbs. The Second record holder to share this record until now was back in 2008 and it was caught by Joshua D. Carr and it went 15.25 inches and weighed a mer 1.74 lbs. this is great news for Yellow perch here in the mountain state as here in North central we have seen a decline in yellow perch.
