Today was a great day, I introduced my brother in law(17 yrs old) to small creek and river Smallmouth fishing.  Actually it was more a general introduction to fishing.  We waded down through the Cocalico creek which runs right through the local park and holds several nice deep locations for smallmouth to hide in and offers alot of cover.  Well he is the typical city boy who hasn't been around outdoors enough to tell a fly from a stinkbug.  Today I think I hit a spot he has never touched before with his first real fishing adventure.  He ended up using my 190 dollar rod and I ended up using one of my cheaper back up rods because he was only having luck on my nicer rod.  He Ended up catching 4 smallmouth bass between 12-17" and 1 really nice rock bass.  He said he had a blast and now he wants me to help him pick out a nice rod so he can come fishing with me more often over the summer.  I believe I found another future fisherman.

That is the way it's supposed to be done. Nice job, and it can't but help in the wife's eyes! Tom
