On Monday I went fishing on the Potomac River. We lauched in Brunswick Md. At the boat ramp we saw 3 kayakers (we call them L.L. Beaners, because they are). Anyway we launched at the same time. one of the "Beaners" launched  and was having trouble with his balance. Not too long after we saw a Maryland State Trooper Chopper over the river heading north. Later on we found out what had happened. What we have here is somebody who was not prepared for the river. The water was moving at a steady clip but only at 3'. I left a post on the "Anchor Tips" about having a knife with you. So read the artical, look at the video and know that this "beaner" was in a sit on top 'Yak. If he would have done a wet exit and went down stream 30 yrds he would have been at an island with 6' of water around three sides. It's same guy we saw earlier having balance troubles.
