Iwonder what if it could happen, a cross between a catfish and a bass would look like, would it have whiskers, would it be green. How hard would it fight, and how big would it get. |

As it is an impossibility, this is a silly "what if" topic.

Back in the 70's, the PA fish commission experimented with mixing fish species to obtain an ultimate game fish. They first crossed a Coho salmon with a Walleye. They chose the coho for it's size, and the walleye for it's delicate flesh. The resulting fish was called a Cohowalleye. It was large and very good eating, but was very lethargic and many anglers complained it was like landing a wet blanket. The fisheries biologists thought they would then breed this Cohowalleye with PA's apex preditory fish, the Muskellunge. Their creation was simply awesome. It was big, mean and great eating. They called it a Kowalski. The only problem was, they had to teach it how to swim! Sorry, couldn't resist. |

green sunfish are real aggressive though and lots of fun to catch cause you can catch them on all different kinds of baits. |
