I was just wondering what some ways of fishing for Catfish in rivers such as the American or Sacramento river.  If any one has fished in these river or knows how to fish in these kinds of rivers.  I would appreciate any tips or sugestians that you may have.

where we fish on the sacramento we use anchovies,sardines, liver , hot dogs (yes Hot Dogs) my buddies and i usually fish up near Meridan and we do very well on cats . the unless we target them  the cats are usually by catch from striper bait ,but hey i don't mind a nice catfish dinner.  when i use liver i always  use spawn sack to put the liver in , you just wrap the liver in the sack and tie the four corners together, trim the excess sack off stick a hook in it and go for it . good luck to you all and TIGHT TO YA ALL !!!!
