The wife and I took a boat tour of Chicago as guests of my son and his wife on one of the Wendella boats on Thurs. Was suprised but not shocked to see a young lady fishing the Chicago river under the Mich. Ave bridge! Wearing a Hawks jersey BTW. Tom

Hmm thats interesting. I have never tried it but I would assume that there would be some fish in the Chicago River. Once you get out of the city I hear that some people catch bass and catfish.

You don't have to leave the downtown area. I try to take a city trip at least once a year, did Navy Pier this year. My son and I didn't have any success with the fish but it was a nice day to spend a few hours together. Northerly Island can also be productive. Tom

It was fun for me to watch that episode as I have fished many of the same places. Nobody mentions the Pike and Walleye that have been caught from the area! Tom
