    i have been fly fishing for about a year and a half and i tie. i can catch fish on some of the basic patterns like buggers and for dry flies caddis. Im not very good at dry fly fishing but are there any tips to match the hatches.

    yea do a search for a hatch chart. if you know the body of water you can try looking for a more specific chart .

    example would be Minnesota hatch chart . or Brule river Wisconsin hatch chart . something like that .

    Your most welcome .A lot of times they will tell you what flies match the insect hatch .
