ALLOT OF DIFFERENT TYPE OF SUN GLASSES?
WATCHING THESE TV SHOWS, HEAR THEM SAY THEY SEE FISH UNDER  THE  WATER OVER THERE & UNDER THERE ETC:.
DO THEY MAKE SUN GLASSES THAT A PERSON CAN REALLY SEE UNDER & AROUND UNDER WATER FROM THE BOAT?
I FISH IN DIRTY STAINED WATER WHAT IS THE BEST COLOR OR TYPE TO SEE UNDR WATER WHEN  I'M FISHING FROM BOAT OR EVEN THE SHORE? THERE IS ALLOT AVAILIABLE ON THE MARKET, IT COULD GET VERY COSTLY IF A PERSON WOULD BUY ONE EACH
OR WHAT COLOR OR TYPE FOR STAINED WATER IS THE BEST TO USE FOR TIME OF DAY, SUN COMING UP, HIGH NOON, OR WHEN SUN GETTING READY TO GO DOWN?

    THANK YOU

i personally use 2 berkly sun glass's ones a darker smoke color and the other has a light smoke color....when i get to the lake i try bothe to c which works the best... they cost between 9 and 20 dollers at walmart. my fishing buddy has 4 pairs of differant shade and has paid up too 200 each for them and i haven't found any real differance in performance...
i suggest getting a pair and try them not real sure how well they work in muddy stained waterbut they do help cutt the glare from the water wheather from shore or a boat.

The $200 sunglasses are nice but the thought of losing a pair overboard has kept me with the $20 BOGO glasses from Cabela's and some of the $20 BPS glasses. The downside is I can't find a light yellow or amber lens at that price. In an ideal world, I would carry 3 pairs: Dark smoke for bright days, a medium smoke or brown and a pair in yellow/amber for contrast on hazy days. Make sure that whatever you buy has polarized lenses or they won't cut the glare properly. Tom

Nice to see a question like this asked and answered. I have been thinking about this lately also. I keep seeing the infomercial for the vision HD sunglasses. though they do not say they are polarized I was wondering if anyone has used these for fishing with any luck? I seen a few reviews but nothing to do with fishing. I am a real cheepskate when in comes to sunglasses, mostly because I always loose them and have a hard time paying more than 15 or 20 bucks a pair.

Certain polarization filters are for certain wavelength.  In addition certain lens have more of an optically correct filter vs others that are just straight forward filter only.  The optically correct filter, you will see very well still at the corner of the glass.

    Sun glasses ,
I have had been through many pairs of them, some good some not so good.
The best pair I have found to my likeing is my Costa Del Mar. Polarized is a must to take away the glare on the waters surface.
To me, glass lens are much better then poly lens because they don't scrach and they don't distort vision. For a all around color lens (without having to buy different colors) the green-mirror lens has a amber background which helps on cloudy overcast days, while looking through these glasses they have a constant-density brown lens whitch helps to see contrasting color on bright sunny days, a good all around choice!
I know they are expensive, but worth the price for the serious fisherman. They also have a lifetime warranty.
In stained, dirty water, it doesn't matter how good your glasses are you just can't see through it!

I'll gladly spend $100+ on a pair of sunglasses when the warranty covers them sinking to the bottom of the lake! Tom

I carry two pair of polarised glasses. One pair black (prescription) they cost about $200. The other pair are amber Berkley's ($ 20). All the non prescript glasses I used for foishing have cost no more than $30. I would kick myself when they sink to thge botttom or I step on them.
