if u asked me wats better between a kayak or an inflaible boat i would say an inflatible boat becuse it can hold more people and easy to carry deflate and inflate.im going to use for my catfishing adventures.i prefer a inflatible over anything wat do u guys think.

To Each Is Own. I use a hardshell kayak. I'm mostly on the Upper Potomac in Frederick County. The water is shallow and I run over many rocks and submergered trees. I get hung up and scar the bottom of my kayak. If you fish waters like that you are goning to want to bring a repair kit.

As was stated, trees rocks, also hooks, catfish spikes. I'd take a hard boat any day. Ask yourself one question. Do I feel lucky today?

Both Kayaks and inflatable boats have there own specific purpose. You're right though, an inflatable boat is best for catfish fishing.
