Since bass fishing is so popular in Georgia and all of the South, I was wondering if some of you might share what's working for you.  Lately, I've been having good luck with lipless crank baits--particularly Strike King's KVD autographed gold sexy shad.   One of my all time favorites this time of year is Bomber's Long A in silver or gold.  Dad and I both are doing well with any plastic in the June bug color.

Right after the post spawn I did well on Rapala's new Max Rap #8 or #10 in silver & blue.  I added a little orange under the lip.  Primarily, I love spinner baits and do well with chartreuse or white, but haven't found that killer spinner for this year.  With the heat like it is, I only fish early or late right now.  Good luck and good fishing to all of you.  Uncle Tom

In Kentucky south East I have seen big bass in schools killing bluegill righ up on the bank. the gills are on the nest right now and I have caght bass with whatever I throw at them when I see them break after the gills. I am sure lipless cranks or top water would be great too.

Uncle Tom, I have found a great spinnerbait. The Booyah Micro Pond Magic 3/8 ounce with a colorado blade performs well for me. I prefer the wasp color, which is really black and chartreuse. It sells at Walmart for 2.50 to 3.00 Cast it parallel to shore if possible or just cast it out as far as you can and let it hit bottom and start a steady retrieve. In one hour, I caught a big bream, a nice bass, and even a catfish! Good Luck!

Thanks Memphis, I've used that spinner bait as well but never that color combination.  Next time out I am going to give it a try--blue gills in our lake are getting ready to bed again.  Man do I like those gills on a long ultra light and a big platter.  Good luck and good fishing!  Uncle Tom
